Creator of Nostalgems About Our Jewellery Materials BRASS - We think brass is beautiful. Most of our jewellery is made from this humble metal. Because of its muted and dull yellow tone - it can be mistakened for old gold. We prize that vintage-y, charming aged patina more than polished and bright precious metals. If you haven't worn brass yet, we invite you to adorn gold's "country cousin" and see why it is becoming the most popular metal in fashion jewellery. There's a lot of misconception that brass is not good on the skin, brass does not contain nickel (which may cause skin rashes). However if you purchases from us and still get an allergic reaction let us know (as we have a return policy). OLD CHARMS & TRINKETS - Most of the brass charms and trinkets you see dangling on our designs are original items from the USA dating back from the 1950 - 1960's (the era of the popular "charm bracelet" trend). They are what you call "old warehouse stock" taken from jewellery manufacturers that have closed down. FOUND OBJECTS - Coins, mini bottles, keys, thimbles. We scour for everyday ordinary objects and transform them into extraordinary focal points for our necklaces and bracelets!
